The training session consists of 3 days lecture and is designed to teach students the accept/reject criteria for soldered electronics assemblies. The course consists of an open and closed book exam requiring students to score 70% or better. Students who meet the criteria will be awarded an IPC-A-610 certificate valid for 2 years.

IPC/WHMA-A-620

This class covers the requirements and acceptances for cable and wire harness assemblies. IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the first industry standard to describe the acceptability criteria for crimped, mechanically secured, and soldered interconnection. This 3-day program includes 24 instructional hours with topics covering: cable and wire dimensioning tolerances and preparation, crimped terminations, insulation displacement, splices, soldered terminations, and more. Students who pass with a 70% or better will be awarded a IPC/WHMA-A-620 certificate, valid for 2 years.

Basic Electronics Skills Training

This course is a 5-day class designed for training inexperienced students the basics of electronic assembly. Learn how to solder and achieve acceptable workmanship criteria. Participants will learn the basics of lead forming, component identification, polarity, and how to build and solder a printed circuit board assembly. The last 2-3 days of class, students will build a functional assembly that will be evaluated for quality of their workmanship and the functionality of the unit. This class consists of 80% hands on training and a 20% lecture. Students who fulfill all the requirements and pass the course with acceptable workmanship standards will receive a J.E.T.S Basic Electronic Training Certificate.

ESD Training

This is a 4-hour class for students requiring ESD certification and also for those who would like to learn about ESD and preventing failures to static sensitive components and assemblies. This training session covers the definition of ESD, the sources of ESD, and how to protect products from latent and catastrophic damage. All students who successfully pass the written test will receive an ESD Certification, valid for 1 year.
